Photography Quiz, Study Guide and Workbook
While studying to get my PPA Certified Professional Photographer certificate (actually it’s not the PPA but the Professional Photographic Certification Commission who offers CPP certification), I realized I needed a way to test myself about what I knew. Therefore, I created my own photography study guide and set of photography quizes to help keep me sharp and reinforce my knowledge of photography.
If you are studying to get your CPP from the Professional Photographic Certification Commission, then these quizes might help you test your knowledge base. The best thing, and something recommended by members of the Professional Photographers of America who have their CPP certification and the Professional Photographic Certification Commission who oversees the Certified Professional Photographer program, is that you should pickup the book Photography written by Barbara London, Jim Stone and John Upton by Pearson. The book is a mainstay in photography education and well worth the purchase.
While I transfer each quiz to this website, I do think it is important to note that the test questions only cover a small percentage of information covered in the book Photography and that these photography tests are no substitute for self-study in the discipline of photography itself. Furthermore, the Professional Photographic Certification Commission has not endorsed this online photography study guide, photography quiz system, or photography workbook in any way, and therefore you are using these resources of your own accord.
In some cases, the each photography quiz will change and offer random questions, so it’s not a bad idea to test and re-test several times to ensure maximum exposure to each photography question.
Finally, it is important to consider that the results you get on each photography quiz does not indicate how you will do on the PPA test. Since I have not taken the PPA Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) exam, I can honestly say that I do not know what to expect. I simply went through the book Photography and selected parts to base my questions on and in many other cases I asked questions that were similar in nature to the kind of content found in each chapter.
